Women’s Rowing Finishes Navy Day Regatta with Three Top Ten Finishes

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's rowing team wrapped up the fall opener Sunday with three top ten finishes at the Navy Day Regatta on the Schuylkill River.

In the Collegiate JV 8+ event, the boat of Katie O'Donnell (Coxswain), Margaret Horgan, Hannah Walseth, Fiona Steele, Kieran Harrington, Colette Zidek, Ellen McCallin, Alyssa Bucci, and Lily Gramlich, won bronze in Alleva XVII. The crew came home with a time of 15:21.84. The Dragons later finished a Drexel best tenth in the Collegiate 8+ race, stopping the clock at 16:10.50.

In Laura Ludwick White, the Drexel A Collegiate 4+ boat of Erin Ernst (Coxswain), Taylor Powell, Ariana Townsend, Lauren Boyce, and Grace Conroy crossed the line in fourth at a time of 16:03.65. The Drexel B team placed 18th out of 27 boats.

The Dragons will head to Boston, Mass for the two-day Head of the Charles Regatta, starting Saturday, October 19.
