Dragons Hold off Leopards for Ninth Straight Victory, 3-2

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel field hockey team extended its winning streak to nine straight games as the Dragons took down Lafayette Friday night at Buckley Field, 3-2. This streak tied their longest since the 2010 season when they also had a nine-game win streak. Drexel currently sits at the top of the CAA standings with a perfect 4-0 record in the conference.
Valentine Van Hellemont stays red hot to get the scoring going just three minutes into the game. This is the sophomores fourth straight game with a goal and the longest streak of her young career.

After a 2-0 halftime deficit, Lafayette got themselves on the board quickly in the second half. A goal by Josephine Van Wijk at the 34-minute mark brought the score to 2-1. BY THE NUMBERS
- Valentine Van Hellemont scored two goals today, her second multi goal game of the season. She now leads the team in goals with eight.
