No.9 Women's Squash Defeats No. 15 Georgetown in Final Match of MASC Championships

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 9 Dragons closed the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships with an emphatic 9-0 victory against No. 15 Georgetown. With the win, the Dragons improved their record to 6-6 while the Hoyas dropped to 11-8.
Margot Prow got things started for the Dragons from the top of the ladder, defeating Jesse Brownwell, 11-7, 11-4, 11-3. Next up was Sanya Vats who from the three spot, cruised to a victory against Aarohi Kuthari, 11-7, 11-3, 11-2. After Vats, it was Dina Rosli who was victorious against Mary Kacergis from the six spot, 11-7, 11-0, 11-5.
Afterward, Ava Prokes clinched the victory against Caroline Wilcox from the nine spot with a 11-3, 11-9, 11-7 score. Emma Bartley was next in the order as she defeated Ella Schoonmaker from the four spot, 11-7, 11-6, 11-5. Following up Bartley was Emi Falconi from the five spot who knocked down Lindsay Lee, 11-8, 11-4, 11-2. Lydia Robinson was up next as she was able to stand victorious versus Katie Hennessy from the seven spot by a score of 11-7, 11-7, 11-9. Claudia Adam followed this performance up with another victory for the Dragons as she won in the eight spot against Sydney Bramen, 11-4, 11-8, 8-11, 11-2. Lastly, Karina Tyma closed the deal for the Dragons from the two spot against Brianna Jefferson, winning by a score of 11-6, 11-9, 11-9.
Up next, the Dragons face the Harvard Crimson on Feb. 17 from the Klein & Specter Squash Center. Action is slated to start at 1 p.m.
