
Gravereaux Delivers on Night Two of CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – Chelsea Gravereaux won a gold medal in the 50 free as the Drexel women's swimming and diving team completed night two of four of the CAA Championships, Thursday night in Hampton, Va.
Chelsea Gravereaux dominated the 50 free. Starting with the preliminary race, the graduate student swam a 22.36, the best swim by a Dragon this season, to win the race. In the finals race, the Dragon topped her time again, swimming a 22.29. The time set a new program record and earned the team's first gold in the championship.
To finish the night, the Dragons competed in the 400 medley relay. The team of Federica Nocera, Ewa Osiniak, Megan Ehrnfeldt and Gravereaux touched the wall in 3:40.71 to take fifth place in the event.
The Dragons finished night two in sixth place with 228 points. Delaware leads the rankings after 16 events with 484.5 points. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. The finals will kick off at 6 p.m. The entirety of the 2024 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships, including preliminaries, will be streamed on FloSwimming.
