Men's Tennis Defeats Army, 6-1

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Drexel men's tennis team defeated Army, 6-1, on Friday afternoon in West Point, N.Y.
The Dragons captured the doubles point after taking the first and second-seeded doubles match. Alan Jesudason and Alex De Sousa defeated their opponent. 6-3, while Alessio Azzalini and Josue Guzman earned a 7-6 victory in the second-seeded match.
After Drexel took the doubles point, the team was quick to capture singles points to clinch the victory. Jesudason defeated his opponent in the No. 1 match, 7-6, 6-3. In the second-seeded match, Hussein El Tawil earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Jake Huarte. In the No. 3 match, De Sousa clinched a 6-2, 6-4 victory. At the bottom of the lineup, Egor Kirakosov captured a win in the fifth-seeded match, 6-3, 6-1, while Guzman finished his opponent 6-3, 6-4.
Drexel returns to action on March 24 to take on the Penn Quakers at the Hecht and Hamlin Tennis Center. First serve is slated for noon.
