Dragons Fall to Charleston, 4-3

PATRIOTS POINT, S.C. – The Drexel women's tennis team was slighted by the Charleston Cougars on Wednesday afternoon at Patriots Point, S.C., 4-3.
Drexel won the doubles point after winning the first and second-seeded matches. Lorie Lemongo and Renata Lombera earned a 6-5 victory in the No. 1 match. Maddie Ricardo and Elisa Rigazio won the second-seeded match, 6-2, to help Drexel clinch the first point of the match.
In singles play, the Cougars won four straight matches to clinch the victory for Charleston. In the No. 2 match, Rigazio earned a 3-6, 7-6, 10-1 victory, while Cabrerizo captured the No. 5 match 6-4, 6-2. In the No. 4 match, Cabrerizo defeated her opponent 6-4, 7-6.
Drexel travels to Wilmington, N.C. to take on the UNCW Seahawks on Friday, March 29. First serve is slated for 9:30 a.m.
