Women's Tennis Blanks Saint Joseph's, 7-0

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team defeated the Saint Joseph's Hawks, 7-0 on Wednesday morning.
The Dragons took the top and second-seeded doubles matches to clinch the first point of the morning. Lorie Lemongo and Renata Lombera paired and defeated their opponents 6-4. In the second-seeded match, Elisa Rigazio and Maddie Ricardo earned a 6-0 shutout victory.
In singles play, Lemongo took the victory in the top spot, 6-1, 6-4. Rigazio downed her opponent in two sets, 6-4, 6-0, while Lombera used a 6-3, 6-2 third-seeded match to also win a point for Drexel. In the No. 4 spot, Isabel Cabrerizo battled in a three-set match to defeat her opponent, 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. In the fifth-seeded spot, Maddie Ricardo used a pair of 6-2 sets to defeat Brooke Tackett. In the No. 6 match, Adva Dabah defeated Ireland Amato, 6-2, 6-3 to round out Drexel's victories.
Drexel is set to wrap up its regular season on Friday, April 17 against CAA foe, Towson. First serve, from Vidas Courts, is set for 3 p.m.
