Okros Named to the 2023-24 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Basketball Team

PHILADEPHIA – Mate Okros, of the Drexel men's basketball team has been named to the 2023-24 Philly-SIDA Men's Basketball Academic All-Area Team. Okros was a captain on this year's team that won 20 games and finished second overall in the Coastal Athletic Association.
Okros appeared in all 32 games this season and started 23 times. He averaged 6.4 points per game and shot .391 from 3-point territory in his final year. Okros finished his career with 184 3-pointers at Drexel, which ranks him 11th on the school's career list. He is also eight in career 3-point percentage at Drexel at .387. Recently, Okros also garnered the honor of being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
In order to be eligible for Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area honors, student-athletes must be in at least their second year at their current institution and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or better.
