Men’s Basketball Announces 2023-24 Postseason Awards

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's basketball program recently announced its annual award winners.
Senior Amari Williams picked up three awards for the second straight season. Williams, who became the first player in CAA history to be named the Defensive Player of the Year three straight seasons, was once again named the Dragons' Most Valuable Player. He also repeated as both the Drexel "D" Award winner and the "Sweep" Award winner as the team's top rebounder. Williams averaged 12.2 points and led the team in both rebounds and blocked shots. The "Sweep" Award is named for Bob Stephens and is give to the team's top rebounder.
Justin Moore was once again the recipient of the Assist Award. Moore handed out 109 assists. Luke House was the winner of the Donald Shank Spirit & Dedication Award for the third straight season. House averaged 9.2 points and shot better than 41 percent from behind the 3-point stripe.
Kobe MaGee was named the Samuel D. Cozen Award as the most improved player. The Allentown, Pa. native became a key performer off the bench and is poised to become one of the Dragons' top returners in 2025-25. Mate Okros was once against named the winner of the Academic Award. Okros, who has played in more games than anyone in Drexel history, is completing a masters degree. He graduated in 2023 with a business degree and decided to come back for a fifth season.
Drexel won 20 games in 2023-24, the first time the Dragons accomplished that feat since the 2012 season. The Dragons finished second in the CAA with a 13-5 conference mark.
