Chase Named CAA Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - Joella Chase of Drexel women's soccer was announced as CAA Defensive Player of Week Monday afternoon. This is the graduate student's second CAA honor of her career.
Chase earned 13 saves in the Dragons' opening week of conference play. She set a new career-high in saves in the 1-0 victory over the defending CAA champions Towson Thursday night. The Rutherford, N.J. native collected seven saves, including five in the second half. Additionally, the keeper made six stops in the 2-2 draw against the preseason favorite Monmouth on Sunday afternoon.
The Dragons return home for a non-conference match-up with NJIT. Action from Vidas Field is set for 6 p.m.
