Dragon of the Week: Castaldo and Salvino

PHILADELPHIA – Anna Castaldo and Brian Salvino named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of September 30th–October 6th.

Anna Castaldo, a member of the field hockey team, led the Dragons offensively with two goals and two assists in a 6-0 victory over La Salle. The senior recorded her first multi-goal game of the year and added two assists before registering four shots in Sunday's matchup with Delaware. The Endicott, N.Y. native was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week for her performance and is second on the team in goals (3) and points (8) so far on the season.

Brian Salvino, a member of the men's soccer team, scored Drexel's lone goal in a 1-1 draw at Monmouth. The junior found the back of the net in the 64th minute, firing a shot from 25 yards out past the keeper to even the match. The Western Springs, Ill. native now has two goals on the season, tied for second on the team.
