Dragons Fall to Lehigh, 71-57

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Drexel women's basketball team was defeated by the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 71-57, on Wednesday evening at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa.
BY THE NUMBERS
Drexel received a 21-point performance from Amaris Baker. The graduate student made eight field goals and connected twice from deep.
Laine McGurk checked in with double-digits points for the fifth straight game, scoring 10 points.
Grace O'Neill finished with 10 rebounds and added six assists to her stat sheet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dragons were outscored 15-12 in the first quarter, receiving four points each from McGurk and Mariah Watkins. The Dragons held Lehigh to just 1-for-5 from deep in the first ten minutes.
Lehigh extended its lead to 11 in the second quarter after outscoring DU, 18-9. The Mountain Hawks ended the quarter with a 9-4 scoring run to head into the locker room ahead, 33-21.
The Dragons opened the third quarter with a 14-point outburst to trim the deficit back to single-digits at the media timeout, 44-35. The Dragons finished the quarter with a two-point quarter advantage, outscoring Lehigh, 18-16. Lehigh entered the final frame ahead by 10 points.
Lehigh outscored Drexel, 22-18 in the fourth quarter. The Dragons forced seven Lehigh turnovers but was unable to find the bottom of the basket, connecting on just six field goals.

Drexel travels to Newark, N.J. on Saturday, November 22 to play the NJIT Highlanders. Action from WEC Arena is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
