PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel Dragons defeated the No. 14 Georgetown Hoyas Sunday afternoon, 9-0.
In the first position, Moa Bonnemark defeated Sanah Syed 3-0. Emma Bartley beat Cecilia Curran 3-0 in the second. The third position was a hard-fought point, ultimately Ana Botello won over Ella Schoonmaker 3-1. Emi Falconi won against Mary Kacergis, 3-0, in the fourth before Luciana Castillo defeated Ella Erickson 3-1 in the fifth. Nori Juhasz, Awande Malinga, Lijana Sultana and Claudia Adam all swept their opponents before Eveli Malk defeated Virginia Wood 3-1 to end the match.
The Dragons next match will be on December 6 when they travel to New Haven to face No.8 Yale.
