Dragon of the Week: Rullo and Soriano

PHILADELPHIA – Molly Rullo and Jordan Soriano named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of December 2nd–8th.
Molly Rullo, a member of the women's basketball team, delivered two career performances as the Dragons earned wins over American and Temple. The freshman posted career highs with 11 points and 31 minutes in the 55–48 victory against American, shooting 4-for-7 from the field while adding two rebounds. She followed with a breakout effort at the Toyota Women's Big 5 Classic, scoring a career-high 22 points on 8-for-9 shooting and 5-for-6 from three in a 59–52 win over Temple. The Drexel Hill, Pa. native also added four rebounds and five assists.
Jordan Soriano, a member of the wrestling team, earned Drexel's lone win in a historic dual against No. 1 Penn State inside a sold-out Daskalakis Athletic Center. The senior defeated Cael Nasdeo for the second straight season, earning an 8–5 decision after rallying from an early deficit. The Westbury, N.Y. native secured a third-period escape and takedown to seal the victory, marking Drexel's only points of the night against a Nittany Lion lineup featuring multiple NCAA champions and All-Americans.
