
Men's Swim and Dive Take Home Two Medals on Day One of the CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – Drexel men's swimming and diving secured two medals and sit in 4th place on the opening night of the 2025 CAA Championships at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
The Dragons earned their first silver medal of the championship in the 200-medley relay, as the team of Theo Andreopoulos, Kacper Karnik, Jakub Kwasny, and Sebastian Smith tied the school record hitting the wall at 1:25.25, finishing just behind Delaware.
Drexel added to its medal count as well as pool records with a bronze finish in the 800-freestyle relay, where Alessio Gianni, Reds Rullis, Andrea Casini, and Petar Pavalic set the new record with a time of 6:27.97, securing a spot on the podium.
Drexel currently sits in fourth place in the overall team standings with 77 points, as competition continues throughout the week.
Competition continues tomorrow with the 500 free, 200 medley relay, 50 free and 400 medley relay. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. and the finals start at 6 p.m.
