
Men's Swim and Dive Earns Three Medals and CAA Record on Day Two of CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – Drexel men's swimming and diving climbed up one spot to third place after winning a gold and two silver medals on day two of the 2025 CAA Championships.
The 400 medley relay team of Theo Andreopoulos, Bartosz Loter, Jakub Kwasny, and Sebastian Smith broke the CAA and school record taking gold with a time of 3:07.40.
Alessio Gianni secured a silver medal in the 500 freestyle, finishing second with a time of 4:23.78. Kaan Akdag also raced in the championship final, placing fourth with a time of 4:25.76.
Sebastian Smith earned another pool record and a silver medal in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall in 19.53. Theo Andreopoulos also made the championship final, finishing fifth in 19.78, while Petar Pavalic tied for sixth with a time of 19.99.
The competition continues tomorrow with the 100 butterfly, 400 medley, 50 free and 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. and the finals start at 6 p.m.
