
Men's Swim and Dive Sit in Third Place After Day Three of the CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – Drexel men's swimming and diving sets multiple records and takes four medals day three of the 2025 CAA Championships. The Dragons sit in third place in the standings.
Jakub Kwasny captured a CAA and school record and gold medal in the 100 butterfly, touching first at 45.50, with teammate Sebastian Smith right behind him earning a silver medal with a time of 45.60.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Theo Andreopoulos, Sebastian Smith, Jakub Kwasny, and Petar Pavalic won gold and broke a school record, finishing first with a time of 1:18.01.
Kacper Karnik secured a bronze medal in the 100 breaststroke, finishing third with a time of 53.00, while Bartosz Loter also reached the championship final, placing fifth in 53.60.
Theo Andreopoulos won a silver medal in the 100 backstroke, finishing second in 47.30, while Dimi Gkelis also competed in the championship final, placing fifth with a time of 47.54.
The final day of competition continues tomorrow with the 1650 Freestyle, 200 backstroke 100 free and 200 breast, 200 butterfly, one meter diving and 400 free Prelims begin at 10 a.m. and the finals start at 6 p.m.
