
Drexel Finishes in Second Place at Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drexel golf team shot an even par in the third round to place second in the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. The three-day event was played at the par 71, 6,817 yard Golden Horseshoe GC. Longwood was victorious after posting 4-over par.
Drexel performed the best among the 13-team field on round three. Drue Nicholas finished fourth individually after shooting even par in the first two rounds and a 4-under par in the third round. Caleb Taylor finished round three with a 1-under par to help the Dragons stay even on the day. Griffin Mitchell shot an even par to post the team's second-best score in the tournament at 4-over par. Kevin Lydon finished 5-over par in Drexel's fourth spot.
Drexel returns home to host the Dragon Match Play Invitational at Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa. on April 7 and April 8.
