PHILADELPHIA - Andrew Manns of Drexel men's rowing has been named to the IRCA 2025 Athlete Watchlist, as announced by the organization Wednesday.
Manns was a member of the varsity 8+ team that took gold at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta in 2024. It was the team's third straight victory at the Regatta, the first team to do so in 23 years. The Dragons brought home the men's title for the third consecutive year, as well as the overall title. At the IRA Nationals, Manns helped the V8+ to a 16th place finish, matching a program best 15th place spot overall at the Championships. The Cherry Hill, New Jersey native also represented USRowing at the U23 World Championships in St. Catharines, Canada last year.
In total, 118 athletes from D1/D2, D3, and lightweight rowing were nominated by their coaches and 61 were selected to this year's list based on a combination of character, performance, achievements, leadership, and day-to-day team contributions. The depth and breadth of men's rowing is well represented too, with emerging talent from fast-rising teams being featured alongside six Olympians (five of whom competed in Paris) and multiple U23 Worlds, Senior Worlds, and Henley Royal Regatta participants.
