O’Malley Named to Philly-SIDA At-Large Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA - Mickey O'Malley of Drexel wrestling was named to the Philly-SIDA At-Large Academic All-Area Team.
O'Malley qualified for his fifth NCAA Championships at Wells Fargo in Philadelphia, the first to do so in program history. The graduate student finished third at the EIWA Championships to qualify at 197-pounds. The Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey native earned a 10-4 record, collecting three pins including a fall to win bronze at the conference tournament. He moved into third place all-time in program history with 29 pins in his career.
In the classroom O'Malley is a three-time NWCA Academic All-American. The Dragons also posted the eighth best GPA in Division I wrestling this season (3.562).
