MaGee, Hargrove Honored by the Big 5

PHILADELPHIA – Kobe MaGee was named Second Team All-Big 5, while Cole Hargrove was named the Big 5's Most Improved Player. The awards were voted on by the six Big 5 head coaches.
MaGee led the Dragons with 14 points per game this past season. He shot 47 percent from the floor and drained 44 percent of his shots from behind the three-point stripe. His 82 3-pointers led the team. MaGee chipped in with 5.6 rebounds per game and led Drexel with 36 steals. He was named a Third Team All-CAA pick this season.
Hargrove finished his third season averaging 9.9 points and was sixth in the CAA in rebounding with 7.5 per game. He was also third in the CAA in blocked shots and shot 59 percent from the floor. Hargrove, who played in just 16 games the previous season for the Dragons, was also an honorable mention Big 5 selection.
Villanova's Eric Dixon was once again named the Big 5 Player of the Year while Saint Joseph's Billy Lange was named the Coach of the Year. Deuce Jones, who played at La Salle was the Big 5 Rookie of the Year. Dixon led the Big 5 in scoring, while Xzayvier Brown of Saint Joseph's was the league's top free throw shooter. The Scholar-Athlete Award was given to Justin Ajogbor of Saint Joseph's.
The First Team consisted of Villanova's Dixon, Saint Joseph's teammates Brown, Erik Reynolds and Rasheer Fleming and Jamal Mashburn, Jr. of Temple. The CAA Second Team included Corey McKeithan of La Salle, Woog Poplar of Villanova, Sam Brown of Penn, Jones of La Salle and MaGee. Hargrove and Steve Settle of Temple were honorable mention picks.
