Burridge, De Sousa, and Lafond Named to CSC All-Academic Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Drexel men's tennis placed three student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as Will Burridge, Alex De Sousa, and Roman Lafond were each recognized for their performance on the court and in the classroom.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be of sophomore standing or higher, hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and be a key contributor to their team.
De Sousa anchored the Dragons at the top of the singles lineup, competing exclusively at the No. 1 spot and earning 11 singles wins on the year, including non-conference victories over Villanova, Bryant, and St. John's. He was named to the All-CAA Third Team in singles and teamed up with Lafond to form one of Drexel's top doubles duos. The pair collected 10 doubles victories, including a win over Hofstra in the CAA Quarterfinals. Their performance earned them All-CAA Second Team honors in doubles.
Burridge led the Dragons in singles victories with 17, competing mainly at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. His season featured clutch wins over Charleston, William & Mary, and Hofstra, along with non-conference wins against Princeton, Penn State, and Navy. He was named to the All-CAA Third Team in singles and also picked up several doubles wins alongside partner Hussein El Tawil.
Lafond finished second on the team with 14 singles wins, competing in the middle of the lineup with highlights that included wins over William & Mary and Villanova. He and De Sousa earned 10 doubles wins together, including conference victories over top pairs from UNCW and William & Mary.
