Women’s Rowing Advances Two Boats to Petite Finals at Women’s Sprints

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Drexel women's rowing team advanced two boats to Petite Finals at the Women's Sprints in Worcester, Mass. on Sunday. The 2V8+ and V4+ teams each qualified, as the V8+ and 3V8+ competed in the 3rd Final on Lake Quinsigamond .
The 2V8+ had the best finish of the day, crossing the line in second place. Rowing in Alleva XVII, Erin Ernst (Coxswain), Ariana Townsend (Stroke), Sarah Ghazaz, Maggie Horgan, Fiona Steele, Lila Seidenberg, Kieran Harrington, Lauren Boyce, and Grace Conroy (Bow) finished with a time of 7:23.311. Michigan State came home in first at a 7:16.653 pace.
The Varsity 4+ collected a third place finish. The team of Katie O'Donnell (Coxswain), Kari Prosperi (Stroke), Delaney Gellert, Jaelyn Walsh, and Lily Gramlich (Bow), rowing in Laura Ludwick White, crossed the line at a time of 8:32.410.
The Dragons will head to Cherry Hill, N.J. for the Dad Vail Regatta May 9-10.
