TAMPA, Fla. — Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Development Peaches Brown was recently selected to be a part of the NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute in Tampa, Florida. Brown was chosen as one of a select group of athletic administrators from across all three NCAA divisions.
The program aims to elevate participants' leadership skills to accelerate their professional growth while enhancing their ability to excel within their current roles. More than 400 administrators have graduated from the Leadership Institute since it started in 2002, and more than 60% of those have gone on to hold senior leadership positions in college athletics.
"Being chosen for the Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute is a tremendous honor," said Brown. "This program, renowned for developing transformational leaders through its immersive curriculum and powerful cohort model, challenges me to grow both personally and professionally. I'm eager to bring back the insights, resilience, and strategic vision fostered here to drive Drexel Athletics forward."
Brown joined the Drexel Athletics staff in 2022. In her current role, she leads the Dragon Leadership Academy, department-wide civic engagement initiatives, and career readiness programming. She also administers QPR (suicide prevention) training for new staff and students. Additionally, Brown serves as the advisor for SAAC, and Morgan's Message.
