Peaches Brown joined the Drexel staff in September of 2022. She is Drexel's assistant athletic director for student-athlete development, a newly created position in the department. In her current role she oversees the Dragon Leadership Academy, department wide civic engagement initiatives and career readiness programming. Brown co-leads the Athletics DEI Council that is composed of administrators, coaches and student-athletes. She also administers QPR(suicide prevention) training for new staff and students. Brown serves as the advisor for SAAC, Black Student-Athlete Union(BSAU) and Morgans Message.
Brown was the assistant director for the Athlete Center for Enrichment at Saint Joseph's University. In that role, she was responsible for ensuring the academic success of the Hawks' women's basketball, men's and women's track & field, men's and women's rowing, men's soccer, baseball and women's tennis teams. She also helped provide career support and guidance for student-athletes as they transitioned into the workforce and played an important role in the SJU SAAC, Leadership Academy and DEI programs.
Prior to her time on Hawk Hill, Brown was the assistant director for Student-Athlete Enhancement working with men's and women's basketball at Marist. Displaying her leadership in the DEI field, she created the first Black Student-Athlete Alliance and served on the Inclusion Diversity Equity Action Committee with the Red Foxes.
A hallmark of Brown's career has been in student development where she has either created or improved the area in each of her stops. At Marist, she created Red Fox Ready, a career and leadership development program for student-athletes. While working at Georgia Southern, she revamped the Eagles in Transition programming for graduating student-athletes and oversaw the Summer Success programming for all first year student-athletes. In one of her first stops at Villanova, she helped to oversee academic support and student progress for the Wildcats.
Brown has extensive experience in leadership roles at the regional and national level. She has presented at the N4A Region 1 Conference and is a trained facilitator in NCAA DISC workshops and for the Habitudes program with Growing Leaders. She is also a member of Women Leaders in College Sports and N4A.
Brown is a two-time graduate of Lock Haven University earning a BS in sport administration and an MS in sport science.
