Women’s Soccer Welcomes Newcomers for 2025 Seasons

PHILADELPHIA — The Drexel women's soccer team welcomes eight newcomers for the 2025 season, include six freshmen and two transfers. The additions include three midfielders, three defenders, one forward, and one goalkeeper.
"This year's incoming class truly embodies what it means to be a Dragon," said Head Coach Ray Goon. "They bring the potential to make an immediate impact on our roster, and we're excited to see how they contribute this season to help drive our program forward."
Gracie Sullivan | Goalkeeper | Fr. | Feasterville, Pa. | Nazareth Academy
Sillivan is one of two newcomers out of Nazareth Academy. The multi-sport athlete was named the Northeast Times Catholic League Women's Soccer Player of the Year. Additionally, she earned PCL All-Catholic First Team and Second Team All-ECNL honors. Off the field, Sullivan was chosen as one of the top seniors for the Athletes Helping Athletes program and was selected to be in the Travis Manion Foundation.
Goon on Sullivan: "Gracie comes from a strong soccer pedigree, but her talent and toughness is what will stand out with the goalkeeper unit."
Nia Chinapoo | Midfielder | Jr. | Harrisburg, Pa. | Central Dauphin | East Stroudsburg
Chinapoo comes to Drexel after two seasons at East Stroudsburg. During her time as a Warrior, she scored ten points in her 25 appearances. The Harrisburg native earned PSAC East Second Team recognition her freshman campaign. In high school, Cinapoo won the PIAA 4A State Championships, posting an impressive 22-2-1 record in 2022. She was a PA Soccer Coaches Association All-State First Team selection, as well as Penn Live and Mid-Penn Conference Commonwealth Division Player of the Year.
Goon on Chinapoo: "Nia is a highly technical player with strong tactical awareness. She understands how to make impact plays that don't always show up in the scoresheet."
Adriana Salzano | Midfielder | So. | Hamilton, N.J. | Princeton Day School | Monmouth
Salzano joins the Dragons after spending her freshman season at Monmouth. The Hamilton, N.J., native appeared in four contests and was a member of the CAA Regular Season championship team. Salzano was voted an All-CVC and All-Prep First Team selection in high school. She helped PDS win their first New Jersey State Non-Public A State Championship in school history. Additionally, she was named the NJ.com Best Freshman Soccer Player in New Jersey and was a Top 100 High School player all four seasons.
Goon on Salzano: "Adriana is a true soccer fanatic. Her presence on the field is infectious by lifting the energy of the team every time she steps on the field."
Riley Lukach | Midfielder | Fr. | Philadelphia, Pa. | Archbishop Ryan
Lukach comes to Drexel after attending Archbishop Ryan in Philadelphia where she was a two-time First Team All-Catholic honoree. She was named program MVP her senior season, while graduating in the top 10% of her class.
Goon on Lukach: "Riley's hard-nosed, gritty style of play is the mentality we value with this program."
Gabby Herrmann | Defender | Fr. | Perkasie, Pa. | Pennridge
Herrmann attended Pennridge High school in Perkasie, Pa. The Rams won the PIAA Class 4A State Championship in 2023. The team captain earned a Suburban One All-League and All-Southeastern Pennsylvanian selection.
Goon on Herrmann: "She always brings a high-motor. Her work ethic and intensity sets the tone on the field."
Izzy Medeiros | Defender | Fr. | Wolcott, Conn. | Cheshire Academy
Medeiros joins the Dragons after attending Cheshire Academy in Wolcott, Conn. The team captain recorded 75 assists throughout her high school career. She was a New England Top 100 selection and was named to the WWNEPSSA All-Star game. Medeiros also played in the Elite Clubs National League, where she was the highest goal scorer her club.
Goon on Medeiros: "Izzy is a steadfast and determined player who is highly resilient. Her drive is a big part of what makes her so dependable."
Reese Power | Defender | Fr. | Philadelphia, Pa. | Nazareth Academy
Power reunites with Sullivan as the second product from Nazareth Academy. The Philadelphia native was a standout in soccer and basketball. She was named the 2025 Northeastern Times Athlete of the Year, while being named Basketball Player of the Year twice. Additionally, Power earned two First Team PCL All-Catholic selections in soccer.
Goon on Power: "Reese is a natural athlete with the tools to make an immediate impact on the team."
Emma Herko | Forward | Fr. | Clark, N.J. | Arthur L. Johnson
Lastly, Herko comes to Drexel from Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark, N.J. She was a four-time all-conference honoree, earning Rockie of the Year recognition. Herko played semi-professionally with Paisley Athletic FC (USLW) and was a member of the US Futsal National U20 team. Herko also participated in track and field, where she holds the 800m school record at Wardlow and was a three-time all-conference selection.
Goon on Herko: "Emma is both tactically and technically sound. She has a great soccer IQ and a strong soccer sense of where to be at the right time."
