Dragons Fall on the Road, 4-2, to Penn

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel fell 4-2 on the road to Penn on Sunday afternoon. With the result, the Dragons moved to 3-4 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Penn jumped on the board early in the first quarter, but Drexel quickly responded when Fleur Hamers scored her second goal of the season off a setup from Pili Lemoine. The Quakers regained the lead in the second and the game remained a stalemate through the third quarter. In the fourth, Penn extended its advantage to 4-1 before Valentine Van Hellemont converted on a penalty corner late to bring the Dragons within two.
BY THE NUMBERS
Hamers scored her second goal of the season.
Van Hellemont added her second goal, assisted by Marti Sanabria.
Lemoine tallied her second assist of the year.
Drexel outshot Penn 8-5 and held a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
