Two Early Goals Lifts Drexel Past Hofstra, 2-1

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - The Drexel field hockey team earned its first conference victory of the 2025 season on the road against Hofstra on Friday afternoon, taking down the Pride 2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
A pair of first quarter goals propelled the Dragons to an early two-goal lead. The Dragons shutout the Pride until the home team cut the Drexel lead in half with around six minutes left to play in the fourth quarter. Nicole Enslin scored her first goal of the season in the 10th minute of the game. Less than a minute later, Sadie Schultz added on to the Drexel lead, checking in with the first goal of her career.
BY THE NUMBERS
Both Enslin and Schultz checked in with their first career goals. Pili Lemoine assisted on Schultz's goal.
Drexel outshot Hofstra, 11-8. The Dragons also kept the home team away from the cage, only needing Alana Poole to make two saves.

The Dragons return to Buckley Field on Sunday, September 28 to face Maine. As a part of Sunday's contest, Drexel will welcome back its field hockey alumni as it's the second day of the two-day event. Details about the weekend are below.

Former student-athletes, families and friends are invited to return to campus for Alumni Weekend at the Vidas Athletic Complex on September 27 and 28. Festivities will include food, refreshments, beer and wine, while cheering on the men's soccer and field hockey programs.

Saturday, September 27
10 a.m.: Check-in and Registration (Fieldhouse Patio)
• Former players registered in advance will receive an alumni game T-shirt.
10:30 a.m.: Men's Soccer Alumni Game
11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.: Tailgate (Kopp Lounge/Patio)
1:00 p.m.: Men's Soccer vs. Hofstra
• Johnson Bowie Hall of Fame Recognition at Halftime

10:30 a.m.: Check-in and Registration (Buckley Field)
10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Brunch (Buckley Field)
12:00 p.m.: Field Hockey vs. Maine
