Wrestling Collects Tenth Win of the Season With 24-12 Victory Over Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y. — The Drexel wrestling team secured their tenth dual victory of the season with a 24-12 win over Binghamton in Vestal, New York Friday afternoon. The Dragons improved to 10–3 overall and earned their second EIWA victory of the season. DU saw their hand raised in six of the ten matches, taking bonus points in four of them.
After Oumar Tounkara nearly missed recording his first dual victory in overtime, Kyle Waterman earned the first points of the night for Drexel. The 133-pounded collected two takedowns in the final period to get the major decision.
Jordan Soriano followed with a major decision of his own at 141 lbs. The senior recorded takedowns in each of the opening periods and rounded out the riding-time advantage to get the shutout. Deon Pleasant recorded his third dual win of the season with a late victory at 149lbs. Pleasant secured the takedown in the closing seconds to claim the 8-5 decision.
Cody Walsh collected his 11th decision win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Marco Albanese. Ethan Wilson followed with a dominant performance, earning a technical fall in the first period. Nate Schon closed things out with a tech fall of his own, taking the bout in the second period, 18-3
