CHARLESTON – The Drexel men's tennis team dropped a close, 4-3, match to the Charleston Cougars on Tuesday in Charleston.
The Dragons swept doubles play. Will Burridge and Tarek Mo Erlewein won 6-4, Antonio Franquis and Josue Guzman won 7-5 and Anthony Moukarzel and Lun Obrul won 6-3.
In singles play, Erlewein had to retire, falling 4-0. Guzman dropped his match, falling 6-4 and 6-4 in two close sets. Consecutive 6-3 set wins gave Burridge the win. Obrul was defeated in two hard-fought sets. Franquis fell 6-3 and 6-1. Moukarzel won 6-4 and 7-5.
