Men's Tennis Drops Match to UNCW, 7-0

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Drexel men's tennis team fell to UNCW Thursday afternoon, 7-0, in Wilmington.
In doubles play, Tarek Mo Erlewein and Will Burridge fell 6-5, Josue Guzman and Antonio Franquis dropped a competitive match, 7-5, and Lun Obrul and Anthony Moukarzel were defeated 6-1.
In singles play, Erlewein had to retire, falling 4-3. Obrul dropped his matches 6-2 and 6-3. Burridge's sets were competitive, but he ultimately lost 7-5 and 6-4. Moukarzel fell 6-2 followed by a close 7-5 loss. Franquis won the first set 7-6 (7-3) before falling 6-2 and 10-2. Guzman was defeated 6-3 and 6-3.
Head coach Mehdi Rhazali said "I'm proud of how hard our team fought, especially given how little time we've had outdoors. We're dealing with some injuries, but we're continuing to adjust, learn, and improve. We'll be ready for the next four matches and for the CAA conference. "
