Dragons Drop Close Match to Charleston, 4-3

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Drexel women's tennis team fell to the Charleston Cougars, 4-3, on Wednesday at the Turner Tennis Center.
In doubles play, Charleston swept all three courts to claim the doubles point. Fiedler and Kavounov dropped doubles 2 first by a score of 1-6. Fourie and Snitko fell on doubles 3 by a score of 3-6. Dabah and Lemongo were unable to close out doubles 1, falling 1-6.
The Dragons showed resilience in singles, splitting the six courts evenly. Fiedler dropped the first point on court 5, falling 2-6, 2-6. Fourie got Drexel on the board with a 6-3, 6-3 victory on court 6. Snitko kept the momentum going with a gritty three-set win on court 4, 6-1, 0-6, 6-4. Kavounov added another point on court 2 with a 6-3, 7-6 victory. Lemongo fell in three sets on court 1, 3-6, 6-1, 4-6. Dabah dropped a three-set battle on court 3, 7-6, 4-6, 3-6.
