Women's Tennis to Compete in the CAA Championship Quarterfinals Against UNCW

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drexel women's tennis team is set to face No. 4 UNCW at 3 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinals of the CAA Women's Tennis Championship Tournament hosted by William & Mary. Live stats for the match are available here and fans can follow the tournament here.
ABOUT DREXEL
The Dragons are the fifth seed in the tournament, having gone 9-9 (4-3 in conference play) on the year. The season saw graduate student Lorie Lemongo set the program record in singles wins. Sophomore Anastasia Kavounov and freshman Christine Fourie lead the team with 16 singles wins each. Kavounov and junior Rebecca Fiedler lead the team with an 18-10 record in doubles play.
ABOUT UNCW
The Seahawks finished the season with a 10-5 (5-2 in conference play) record. Senior Elif Alabyrak leads the team with a 12-2 singles record. In doubles, the pairing of Alabryak and senior Eda Arli has a 13-2 record. In March, UNCW won the regular season match between the teams, 5-2.
