Jordan Soriano to Represent the Philippines at Senior World Wrestling Championships

PHILADELPHIA — Drexel wrestling alumnus Jordan Soriano has qualified to represent the Philippines in freestyle at the 2026 Senior World Wrestling Championships. The Westbury, N.Y., native earned his spot after capturing the Philippine Senior National Championship at 65kg.
"It is so awesome to see all of Jordan's hard work paying off," said Mert '67 and Joanne '69 Hill Head Coach of Wrestling Matt Azevedo. "It's always been a goal to have a Drexel wrestler competing at the World Championships, and it is very exciting that Jordan has made that a reality."
The World Championships will take place October 24 to November 1 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
