Women's Tennis Competes in Day Two of the Penn Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team competed in Day Two of the Penn Invitational on Saturday.
In the First Round of doubles play, Anastasia Kavounov and Isabella De Micco fell to Penn's Liza Tkachenko and Lara Stojanovski, 6-1.
In the Second Round of doubles, Bia Ibrahim and Olivia Chowgule dropped their match to Penn's Peien Deng and Tkachenko, 6-1. Penn's Varsha Vedula and Joleen Saw defeated Ely Laure A-Sou and Lidia Ratobylskaya, 6-1.
In singles play, Saw topped Alyna Sogomonyan 6-2 and 6-1. Joane Hartono fell to Tkachenko, 6-3 and 6-1. Bia Ibrahim fell to Cookie Jarvis-Tredgett, 6-0 and 6-1. Chowgule dropped her match to Vedula, 6-2 and 6-2.
The Dragons will wrap up the Penn Invitational tomorrow.
