Nackaerts Named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Cato Nackaerts of Drexel's field hockey team was named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday. This marks the second week in a row the freshman has earned this honor.
Nackaerts was a key contributor in Drexel's win over University City rival, Penn. The freshman recorded one goal and an assist in the 3-0 victory. The Belgian native helped kick start the Dragons offense when in the third quarter Nackaerts passed the ball to Fleur Hamers who deflected it in the cage, to put the Dragons up one. Six minutes later the freshman would receive the ball at the edge of the circle before dribbling through defenders and firing the ball into the net. Nackaerts is fourth on the team in total points with 13 as well as leading all rookies in the CAA.
The Dragons return to action on Friday to face No. 19 Monmouth at Buckley Field. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
