Dragon of the Week: Hamers and Chinapoo

PHILADELPHIA – Fleur Hamers and Nia Chinapoo named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of September 1^st-7^th.

Fleur Hamers- A member of the Drexel Field Hockey Team, had a dominate start to her weekend scoring four goals in a historic 11-0 victory over Long Island University. Hamers is now tied in second for goals in a game by a Dragon and the most since 2010. The Sophomore ended her weekend recording an assist and a game winning sudden victory goal against Philadelphia rival, Saint Joseph's. The Netherlands native ranks first on the team in goals scored with five.

Nia Chinapoo- A member of the Drexel women's soccer team, helped lead the Dragons to a 2-0 record over the previous week of play. The Pennsylvania native scored two goals for the Dragons in just 33 minutes, leading to a 2-1 victory for the Dragons. In the 74^th minute Chinapoo attacked a poor touch by the defender breaking through the defense to fire a shot past the keeper to put the Dragon up 2-0 which was a deficit Lafayette could not overcome.
