Hannah Nihill was named the Coordinator of Strategic and Player Development on July 31, 2023. Nihill spent five years as a member of the women's basketball team and was the 2021 Dean Ehler's Award winner.
In 2023-24, Nihill helped guide the Dragons to their third CAA Title after completing a seven-game win streak to end the season. In part, Drexel pushed its postseason streak to 10 straight years. The Dragons completed its historic run by defeating No. 10 Delaware in the second round to advance to the quarterfinals, where they would have a postseason rematch, with the No. 2 Monmouth Hawks defeating them, 58-56, to earn a spot in the conference semifinals against Towson. In the semis, Drexel hit a buzzer-beater with three seconds remaining to down the Tigers and face the top-seeded Stony Brook. The Dragons defeated the Seawolves 68-60. Drexel entered the NCAA Tournament as the 16th seed and played the top-ranked Texas Longhorns in Austin, Texas.
Nihill set the CAA record for career games played with 153 and was honored eight times on All-Conference teams or with major awards, including the Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference in 2020-21 when she helped lead the Dragons to a CAA Championship and the NCAA Tournament. She is one of two players in Drexel history to record more than 1,000 points, 500 assists and 300 steals. She is second all-time in program history with 313 swipes and is third with 523 helpers.
Overall, Nihill was a part of three CAA regular season championships and participated in the postseason five times.
