While Lodermeier was at Michigan, the men’s basketball program appeared in the NCAA National Championship game in 2018 and reached the Sweet Sixteen in 2017. Additionally, the program set a school record for wins (33) in 2018, and won back-to-back Big Ten Tournament Championships (2017 & 2018). Through his career Lodermeier has helped to develop numerous student-athletes that have garnered All-Conference recognition and five that have gone on to NBA careers (D.J. Wilson, Derrick Walton Jr., Moritz Wagner, Duncan Robinson, and Jordan Poole).
Lodermeier played collegiate basketball at Malone University (2009-13) in Canton, Ohio, and served as a team captain during his senior season. He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Malone in 2013 and his master’s degree in kinesiology 2018 from A.T. Still University.
