Emily Brenner, a former goalkeeper at the College of Charleston, begins her second season on Goon’s staff as a graduate assistant coach. Brenner, who holds College of Charleston and Southern Conference records for shutouts in a single season (11) and goals-against average (.77), will work with the squad’s goalkeepers and assist with recruiting, fundraising, alumni relations and day-to-day aspects of the program.

Before coming to Drexel, Brenner had a successful career at Charleston where she was a four-year starter in goal for the Cougars. Brenner graduated from the College of Charleston in 2006 with a degree in physical education and teacher education. She also played semi-professional soccer for the South Jersey Banshees.

Brenner is originally from Cherry Hill, N.J. where she was a three-time All-South Jersey selection and earned All-Conference honors at Cherry Hill High School East.
