2016: Started and played in every game as a junior …part of a Drexel defense that recorded 11 shutouts on the year and allowed only four goals in conference play…earned Second Team All-CAA honors after a strong season in the backfield…a 2016 CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award winner.
2015: Was sidelined by injury for the entire season…a 2015 CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award winner.
2014: Played in every match and started all but one for Drexel in her rookie season…tallied 1696 minutes of action…helped Drexel maintain a six-game shutout streak and an eight-game unbeaten streak during the season…recording an assist in Drexel’s victory over Villanova…a 2014 Commissioner’s Academic Award winner.
Background: Graduated from Yorktown High School after playing four years of soccer and two years of basketball…captained her high school soccer squad and was named to the All-League team her sophomore, junior, and senior years and to the All-Sections team her senior year…a member of the Quickstrike Xtreme club team with whom she won a US Club Regional Championship… was an integral member of the Eastern NY ODP team that were Region I Finalists in 2013…a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Margaret and Helmut Gspurning…has an older sister Sonja…majoring in sport management.
