Mike Dynda is in his fourth season as head golf coach at Drexel. Dynda joined the Dragons after serving as the director of instruction at Blue Bell Country Club.
Dynda’s team has rewritten the Drexel golf record book since he took over. Dynda, the 2005 Philadelphia Section PGA Teacher of the Year, led the team to a pair of victories in the fall of 2005. The Dragons won the Rehoboth Beach Inviational and the St. Bonaventure Invitational. Dynda’s team set school records for the lowest score in a round, in a tournament and in a three-round tournament. Drexel shot a school-best 273 at the James Madison Invitational and won the St. Bonaventure Invitational with a 575. Senior Keith Snyder became the school's first All-CAA pick after earning medalist honors in three tournaments during the year.
In 2004-05, Dynda’s squad fired a 288 at the James Madison Invitational. The Dragons also set a school record at the same tournament with their lowest three-day total (868) at the time. The Dragons best finish was a second place showing at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational. Drexel had two medalists last season, with Patrick Hardin winning at the Old Dominion/Seascape Tournament and Joe April closing the season with a victory at the Scotty Duncan Memorial Tournament.
In his first season, Dynda’s team took home a first-place finish at the Yale Invitational with a combined scoreof 590. The Dragons also shot what was then a single-round record 288 at Yale. Drexel finished second at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational.
At Blue Bell, Dynda coordinated golf learning programs for all members and their guests. He has a wealth of golf experience and has served as both a head and assistant professional at clubs throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. Dynda was the head golf professional at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford and served as the assistant professional at both Kennett Square Golf and Country Club and at Blue Bell.
Dynda is also an instructional editor for Philadelphia Golf Magazine. He has served as an instructor for a number of organizations and was also the head golf coach at Oxford High School for two seasons.
A graduate of Glenville State in West Virginia, Dynda was a four-year letterwinner
