Bachelor's Barge Club
Drexel University rows out of the historic Bachelor's Barge Club located on the Schuylkill River Boathouse Row. Founded in 1853, the Bachelor's Barge Club reigns today as the oldest continuously operated rowing club in the United States. In 1893, the brick boathouse was constructed on the original site, also known as #6, on Boat House Row on Kelly Drive.
Drexel alum and former football All-American Vince Vidas and his wife Judy have donated and led the effort in the “Give Me Ten Campaign,” aimed at invigorating the University’s 50-year-old crew program.
