Hynes and Keeley Shine on Day Two

Fairfax, Va. – The Dragon women posted top individual marks, but could not score enough to win in dual competition at the CAA Pod Meet. The Dragons were defeated by George Mason, 263-89, College of Charleston, 228-116, and Davidson, 202-139.
Winning her second event of the meet was sophomore diver Kate Hynes, who finished first in the 1-meter dive on day one and retuned take the top honors in the 3-meter on day two (271.00). Stephanie Battaglia placed fifth in the 3-meter dive with a score of 184.55.
Leading the Dragon swimmers was sophomore Sarah Keeley, who earned a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.49), which ranks her fourth on Drexel's all-time performance list. Keeley also notched a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM in 2:13.55.
Katie McCann returned from day one and continued to perform well for the Dragons, swimming to a third-place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:11.53). McCann combined with Kaitlin Slowey, Maureen Hanlon and Caitlin Mulholland in the 400 freestyle relay to earn a fourth-place finish in 3:42.21.
The Dragons return to action on Saturday, Nov. 11, when the women host Delaware and Vermont at 2 p.m.
