George Mason Women's Soccer Downs Drexel, 4-0

The Drexel women's soccer team fell on Sunday afternoon to the George Mason Patriots, 4-0, at George Mason Stadium. The Patriots improved to 7-6-0 on the year, 3-3-0 in Colonial Athletic Association action. Drexel fell to 4-6-3, 0-4-2.
Mason got on the board for the first time in the 19th minute. The Patriots' L.J. Williams was fouled just outside the Drexel box and Jessica Paris took the ensuing direct kick. She threaded the ball around the right of the wall and to the left of the goalkeeper for a 1-0 Mason lead.
The Patriots added to the lead in the 27th minute. Annie Lebherz received the ball in the middle about 25 yards out and fed Rachel Wiggins on the left side, who scored to give GMU a 2-0 lead.
Mason's Sarah Fack stole the ball about 35 yards out, dribbled through traffic and blasted the ball into the top left corner of the net early in the second half for GMU's third goal. Kelly Keelan added an insurance goal late in the half.
Drexel will return to conference play on Friday afternoon. The Dragons host Georgis State at 4 p.m. at Vidas Field.
