Drexel Takes Second in 25 Team Field at Lafayette Invitational

Drexel finished second among 25 schools entered in the 2008 Lafayette Invitational. The Dragons entered the second and final round in first place after shooting a one-over-par 289 but Bucknell came from behind in the second round to overtake the Dragons. Trevor Sahn, a recent transfer from Purdue, placed fifth individually shooting a two-over-par 146 for the tournament. Myles Vlachos was a shot behind at 147 for the event.
Vlachos and Sean Sementz each shot a one-under-par 71 in the first round while Sahn fired an even-par 72. The trio was unable to repeat their performance on the second day but each did finish in the top 15 individually. Sementz shot a 79 in the final round to tie for 14th place. Steve Ransom shot a 155 for the event while Mike Carr, participating in his first tournament of the season, fired a 160.
