Golf Finishes 13th at Frank Landrey Invitational

Gordonville, Va. - Drexel placed 13th of 14 schools at the Frank Landrey Invitational hosted by Liberty University at the Spring Creek Golf Club. Kyle Davis led the Dragons in the three-round event as he finished 22nd overall with a six-over par 222. Richmond won the event and had the top individual, Sam Beach, who compiled a 213 for the event.
Davis led the team in each of the three rounds as he opened with a 74 before shooting the Dragons' only below-par round with a 71 in the second. He finished with a 77 to claim the top 25 finish. Steve Kidron sandwiched a round of 73 between rounds of 77 to place in a tie for 37th with a 227. Andy Frank shot a 80 in the opening round before shaving three strokes in his second round. He struggled in the final round as he carded an 83. Trevor Sahn shot 80's for his first two rounds and finished the event with an 82. Freshman James Braunsberg opened with an 82 and recorded rounds of 83 and 82, respectively, in the final two rounds.
