Unkaya Earns Nation ITA Ranking

Philadelphia - Drexel junior Gozde Unkaya was ranked No. 115 in the nation by the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, becoming the first female singles player in recent history to garner a national ranking for the Dragons.
Unkaya, who transferred to Drexel from Texas Tech as a sophomore last year, led the Dragons with 16 singles wins last season, posting a 16-2 record at second singles. She participated in the Northeast Regional ITA Tournament last season and helped her team advance to the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament.
The Dragons and Unkaya will be back in action this fall when they travel to participate in the Cissie Leary Memorial Tournament on Sept. 25-27.
