Men's Basketball Game With William & Mary Moved to Sunday at 5 p.m.

Williamsburg, Va. - The Drexel men's basketball game against William & Mary scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up on Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. at William & Mary Hall. The game can be heard on WNTP. It will be joined in progress at approximately 6 p.m.
Drexel leads the all-time series with William & Mary, 15-7. However, the Dragons have not fared well as of last against the Tribe. William & Mary has won two in a row against Drexel and has won four of the last five meetings.
In the first meeting this year, William & Mary held Drexel to just one field goal over the final 12 minutes of the first half and the first five minutes of the second half and defeated the Dragons at the DAC, 73-48. Despite shooting just 26 percent in the first half, the Dragons trailed by just four points at 28-24. Drexel's offense continued to struggle in the second half. with just two field goals in the first 13 minutes. In the meantime,the Tribe got going offensively and shot a sizzling 65 percent in the second half (15-for-23) and made 13 of 14 from the line.
The Dragons had 18 offensive rebounds in the game, including nine by Samme Givens, but only scored two second-chance points. Givens finished with a game-high 13 rebounds. Colds led the team in scoring with 15 points, 11 of them coming from the line. Drexel finished shooting a season-low 24 percent. Quinn McDowell led William & Mary with 20 points.
After the game, Drexel will return home and have a quick turnaround, as CAA-foe Towson comes to the DAC for a game on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
