Drexel Golf Finishes Fourth of the City Six Schools at Big 5 Invitational

Philadelphia, Pa. - Drexel Golf placed ahead of Saint Joseph's and La Salle at the 2010 Big 5 Invitational held at Plymouth Country Club. Ben Feld led the team with a 150 for the two-round event as he finished in a tie for 42nd place out of 111 competitors. The Dragons' score of 619 was good for 19th place out of the 21 participating schools while Furman University won the event with a 574.

Feld's first-round score of 72 helped the Dragons to a 304 in the opening round. James Braunsberg shot a 75 while Andrew Lawson fired a 76. Ben Hinge shot Drexel's other top-four score with an 81. Hinge was the only Drexel golfer to improve in the second round as he trimmed five strokes off of his first round score to finish with a 157 after a second-round 76. Lawson and Mike Serensits each matched their first round scores with a 76 and 85, respectively. Feld dropped a bit down the leaderboard with a 78 in the second round while Braunsberg carded an 87.
